< Early Bumblebees (Bombus pratorum) have bright yellow collars and an orange tail with a middle band of yellow. They are common on my allotment with the workers enjoying the comfrey in particular but also the French butterfly lavenders. They seem to be a common visitor everywhere.
In contrast the Blaeberry Bumblebee >(Bombus monticola) is not a bee I would expect on my allotment nor in the back garden. This one was in my Mum’s garden in the NW Highlands of Scotland.
